Clima: 23 C.. Rico!
Task 1: interview 5 people about your main leadership skills and write about your conclusions.
I asked four people really close to me what they thought about my leadership skills and asked them to be honest and straightforward. It was encouraging to read what they wrote, because usually I didn't think of myself that way (not all the time, or not in all situations, anyways).
They mentioned, first, that when I'm at my best, I try to motivate others by giving example of what is needed to be done. I try to organise the environment so everybody knows what is their role on the situation, and I try to give the best of myself so everybody feels supported and cared.
Also, they said that I try to reach my goals, small ones and big ones, with effort and discipline, and it is inspiring to see that you can achieve them when you set your mind to it. Important part of it is the capability of making risky decisions in life and professionally, as well as knowing when to do it: the example that marked them the most was when I decided to join a group of volunteers that were going to Mozambique to work with HIV prevention in a isolated community, even when I was a successful systems engineer. Everybody expects you to be someone, but it is more incredible what happens when you decide to do something for your self. You grow in so many ways.
Another point they mentioned was the importance of having good relationships with people.
In conclusion, I learned that even when you don't notice it, every little action has an impact on someone or something, and it is important to identify what your strengths are as well as your weaknesses, so you can make yourself better, and ultimately, make greater impact in the environment you are at.

Core purpose of leadership: being a leadership who teaches through actions, sharing my knowledge and experience, and learning from others.
Dream of the future: being a IT manager recognized for its well thought projects, thinking not only about the company but how through our projects we can contribute for a better society/improve our way of living though implementing inside solutions/ making the right decisions.
Personal Leadership Vision
- The area in which I want my leadership to best contribute is on the technology field, more specifically on the software creation environment.
- The core purpose of my leadership is to encourage developers to think beyond the software. Think about what we do and why we do it, and then, we will think on how we are going to do it. In a few words: we work with people, for people, so I want to show the importance of that and how it would change the whole IT environment.
- The leader I want to be is a person who is caring, who takes action, who understands the business and shares new ideas, a person who doesn't settle down, but who is in constant change for better.
- Through my leadership, we will develop tools useful and easy to use, not forgetting about users needs and helping people easing their everyday problems.
- My leadership will be recognized for being thoughtful, active, caring, wise, not problematic but problem solver, dependable, trust worthy and a teacher.
